Second Life is a virtual world where users connect online to create and experience real-life scenarios and environments.
In 2008 ECPAT International recognized that Second Life offers a unique platform for sharing knowledge of CSEC, creating understanding, distributing information, and facilitating connections among individuals.
ECPAT has established two ECPAT Islands on Second Life; the Teen Grid (designed for 13-18 year olds) and the Main Grid (18+). The Island offers an introductory tour that uses an interactive quiz and interactive videos; the Resource Centre contains ECPAT publications; and a Training Centre is available to conduct online workshops.
ECPAT is continuously developing structures on Second Life that will enable interactive training and capacity-building sessions and reporting of illegal online content.
The Island is still under construction and is hoped to go live within the next year.
Title : Internet Reporting Hotlines

ECPAT International is dedicated to the implementation of internet reporting hotlines to report illegal and harmful internet content.
Hotlines are an effective tool for receiving, analyzing, and collaborating with law enforcement. ECPAT International regularly conducts training workshops for ECPAT members who are planning to set up a reporting hotlines.
Title : Internet Governance Forum (IGF)

The Internet Governance Forum is an annual event organised by the UN with the support of International Telecommunication Union. ECPAT International is the coordinator for the Dynamic Coalition on Child Online Safety at IGF and is responsible for coordinating the coalition’s activities with the IGF Secretariat.

Title : make-IT-safe

The make-IT-safe campaign is an ongoing global project that endeavours to make information technology safe for children and young people everywhere.
The goal of the make-IT-safe campaign is to encourage the IT industry and governments to take responsibility for making online and interactive technologies safe for children and young people.
The make-IT-safe campaign unites children's groups in 67 countries led by ECPAT International and the Children Charities Coalition for Internet Safety.
