Overview : The Jordan River Foundation (JRF) works to protect the rights and needs of children and to contribute to healthier, self-reliant and aspiring communities. With the vision and support of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, JRF has successfully established itself as a pioneer in building an Arab Child Safety Model.

The Foundation’s main activities are prevention and intervention. Through its work on prevention, JRF inaugurated the Queen Rania Family and Child Centre, a community centre that provides integrated and holistic services in partnership with the local community and various stakeholders to combat child abuse by strengthening the family unit. JRF’s interventions included the Child Safety Center in Dar Al Aman, a therapeutic centre that provides psychological, medical, social and educational services for victims of physical, emotional and sexual abuse and neglect. New therapeutic services for children include an Early Childhood Development Unit, a playground, an interactive library and an environment programme.
