Organization Name : Albanian Coalition against Trafficking and the Sexual Exploitation of Children (ACTSEC)

Overview : The Albanian Coalition against Child Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation of Children (ACTSEC) is supported by the Children’s Human Rights Centre of Albania (CRCA), a major child rights organisation in the country and a partner of the ECPAT Europe Law Enforcement Group since early 2001. ACTSEC is also supported by the Information and Research Centre for Children’s Rights in Albania (IRCCRA) and the Albanian Children’s Rights Network (ACRN).

ACTSEC works towards and promotes close cooperation with other ECPAT groups and affiliates in Europe. The group supported the organisation of a training course entitled ‘Protection of Children from Trafficking for Sexual Purposes’, which was organised by the Children’s Human Rights Centre of Albania in cooperation with ECPAT Netherlands and ECPAT Belgium. The aim of the training course is to strengthen the capacities of governmental institutions and NGOs to work against child trafficking in Albania. In cooperation with the Children’s Human Rights Centre of Albania, ACTSEC also organises computer literacy classes for children from socially-excluded and marginalised areas. ACTSEC has made significant efforts in conducting awareness-raising activities for students and teachers on the sexual exploitation and trafficking of children.
