Le Troisième Congrès Mondial n'est pas un évènement isolé, mais fait partie d'un ensemble de réunions mondiales et régionales, débutées avec le Congrès de Stockholm qui ont mis en lumière les problèmes de l'exploitation sexuelle des enfants et offerts aux ONG et aux gouvernements des opportunités de collaboration dans la lutte contre ce phénomène.

En pus de développer l'historique des Congrès Mondiaux et des Réunions régionales contres l'exploitation sexuelle des enfants, l'objectif a été de focalisé l'attention d'un nombre croissant de sites web, blogs et autres référents.
