“Each time we encounter social circumstances that repel us and bring us a sense of unease, we face the dilemma of whether to act with conscience or to turn away with indifference. Over time, silence turns to apathy and violations against children, such as sexual exploitation, become normalised and fuel further abuses like child trafficking, which grow in an environment of tolerance and social demand. The ECPAT-TBS campaign will work to remove the killing frost of inaction which has fallen over many of our societies to catalyse public response and seek accountability from all those responsible for protection of children.”
