The report "Their Protection is in Our Hands – The State of Global Child Trafficking for Sexual Purposes", shines light on the issue of trafficking of children for sexual purposes. The report highlights recent developments and trends, identifies vulnerabilities and risks for children, and offers three goals that governments can prioritise as tangible steps towards fighting  child sex trafficking and improving services provided to child victims.

The ‘Progress Card’ system is designed to highlight how the world’s governments are taking action and help support efforts to tackle child sex trafficking in more than 40 countries worldwide, with the overall aim of accelerating progress to end child sex trafficking over the course of the next three years. In addition to effecting measurable and essential change, the Progress Cards reveal that many countries are still ill-equipped to deal with the issue of sex trafficking of children and young people. Through the Progress Cards, The Body Shop and ECPAT International aim to increase information on the situation of the trafficking of children and young people for sexual purposes, raise public awareness and mobilize supporters to demand action from Governments and decision-makers
